Frequently asked questions
Is Invoicing HQ free?
Yes. The Free plan includes 3 documents to get started, with no card required. Create and edit as many drafts as you like: a document only counts the first time you download it. Basic includes 150 documents a month and Pro 500 when you need more.
Can I invoice in my own currency?
Yes. Each quotation, invoice and receipt can be issued in any of more than 150 currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, KES, NGN, ZAR and INR. Dashboard totals are kept per currency and never converted.
How do I pay for a subscription?
Paid plans are paid by card in US dollars and renew automatically until you cancel. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider.
Is my data secure?
Your data is encrypted in transit, each business's records are isolated at the database level, and payment details are handled by our payment provider rather than stored by us. You own your data and can delete your account at any time.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from Billing in your dashboard and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. If a subscription lapses, you can still view and download all of your documents.
How does the quotation to invoice to receipt flow work?
Create a quotation, convert it to an invoice when your customer accepts, then issue a receipt once it is paid. Each step creates a new linked document, so your history is never overwritten.
